Finding the Way

Have you ever been lost in a big city? Back before GPS I would go to a big city and get lost. In a way, it was fun searching for my way to my destination. But there were times panic would set in as I realized I really was hopelessly lost.

The big complication is in an unfamiliar city I didn’t know where I was at So anyone I called for help couldn’t really help me. I needed to know where I was in order to get correct directions to where I was going.

gpsMany people today use a GPS (Global Position Satellite). All we have to do is type in where we are, where we want to go, and most the time it will get us there. However, if there is unreported road closings due to construction or an accident we have to change our direction. The GPS will say “Recalculating” and within moments you will once again be going in the right way. Stick to the GPS directions and soon anyone will successfully reach his or her destination.

Sometimes life brings unexpected and often unwanted circumstances that make our

What Way Do I Go?

planned destination either impossible or very difficult. Multiple Sclerosis totally messed up my plan in life. I had a home, car and good paying job at 21 when I suddenly lost vision in one eye. Within 6 months I was approved for disability. I experienced many times of paralysis and blindness. It seemed the GPS of my life had to keep on “Recalculating.” Things I used to do, I know longer can do. There came a time I felt like the GPS of my life was broken; lost in despair and without hope.

The greatest lesson I learned was the need for a plan but not just for life here. Life here can be very disappointing. I needed an everlasting HOPE. I found it! My life is still full of the changes I do not like as my body ages and MS continues to try to destroy my body. BUT I accepted Jesus Christ and I am no longer lost. My destination is the ultimate one and all hell coming against me can not change it. Jesus Christ is my Savior and LORD and He is preparing for me a place. I can and I do keep the “joy set before me” in sight. Heaven is my final destination and nothing and no body can take it away from me. I know where I am going.

John 3:7

Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.

Do you know where you are going ? Do you know how to get there? It is good to have goals such as graduating from college or a job with a certain company. It is also good to plan to get married and have a family. But the MOST important destination is one for which one must be prepare. If you don’t take this seriously you still will have a destination but it will be the wrong direction; hell. SO please take this serious. Eternity is a forever and forever is a long long time. It is the ultimate destination that we all have a choice or direction from which GPS to choose. My GPS is God’s Provided Salvation.

Do you know where you are going? Do you know The Way?

John 14:6

6 Jesus *said to him,“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

The Way

  1. Recently my life ran into a detour due to an unknown illness. My GPS is recalculating and it is scary to think of where this new road will take me. How will it affect me and my family, and am I strong enough I’m my relationship with my Lord to walk through this dark time and still keep my faith? Thank you for the reminder of where my true destination will lead! Into the arms of, Jesus. Forever, happy, healed and at peace.
